There's something incredibly special about photographing mums with the people they love most. This year Mother's Day Mini Sessions at Church House were filled with cuddles, chaos, laughter, tiny hands wrapped around their mums, and all the beautiful in between moments that deserve to be remembered forever.


As a Townsville family photographer, these sessions are always some of my favourites to capture because they aren't about perfect posing or perfectly behaved kids. They're about connection. The way your little one reaches for you when they're shy. The giggles during tickles. The quiet moments where you hold your babies close and realise just how quickly they're growing.


The setting at Church House created the dreamiest backdrop for these memories. Soft natural light, beautiful neutral tones, and a warm, homely feel that allowed every family connection to shine naturally in front of the camera. One of the things I loved the most about these Mother's Day minis was how realxed and genuine they felt. Some kids wanted to run and play, some needed cuddles, some gave us cheeky grins, and some just wanted to be held by mum the whole time. And honestly, that's exactly what makes these photos meaningful. Years from now, these are the moments you'll want to remember.


To every mum who stepped in front of my camera this year, thank you. Thank you for trusting me to capture your family exactly as you are in this season of life. I know so many mums are usually the ones taking the photos and rarely in them, so being able to create these memories for you is something I never take for granted.


These sessions reminded me again why family photography matters so much. The photos become more valuable with time. The tiny faces change, the cuddles become fewer, and the little details you think you'll never forget slowly fade. Photographs let you hold onto it all a little longer.


I already can't wait for next year's Mother's Day Minis.
