There's something incredibly special about formal season. The excitement, the nerves & the effort that goes into every little detail of the day. For Arjun and Zarah, it was all of that and more. Their formal session felt extra meaningful, not just because it was the start of a big new chapter, but because they chose a location that reflected their quiet confidence and timeless style.
I've known Arjun's family for years, so it was a true honour to capture these memories. We decided to step away from the usual busy photo spots around Townsville and head to a quiet pontoon by the river instead. The golden afternoon light, the calm water, and the peaceful surroundings gave us the perfect backdrop for some truly elegant portraits.
Zarah's dress shimmered softly in the light, and Arjun's suit was classic and sharp. Together, they looked effortlessly refined. What I loved most about this session though, was how relaxed and natural it felt. That's always my goal with any of my sessions, to create a space where you can just enjoy the moment, breathe, and feel completely yourself.
